What you get

  • Agenda agreed with the chair. Papers collated, paginated and circulated to the agreed timescale.
  • Attendance confirmed. Quorum checked before the meeting rather than discovered in it.
  • Read in beforehand. The professional arrives having read the papers, not cold.
  • Procedural support in the room. Delegation, remit, whether an item is properly before this meeting, confidentiality.
  • Interests handled. Declarations recorded against the relevant items, in line with your own procedure.
  • Decisions and the basis for them. What was decided and why, not a transcript of the discussion.
  • Actions with owners and dates. Captured as they are agreed, issued as a list afterwards.
  • Draft minute to the chair. Within 5 working days, ready for the next agenda.

Where the matter is heavier

A standard board or committee meeting is one thing. A contested exclusion review, a complaint that has already escalated, or a hearing where the parties are represented is another, and the record has to stand up months later. What that needs is set on the call, before any work goes past what you have paid for.

If we cannot name someone

The reservation is refunded in full. Applied automatically, with no claim to make. You are told inside 24 hours rather than left waiting, and we will tell you who else to try.

Practical answers

What does the reservation actually cover?

It holds the professional, holds the date, and starts the work. It is not payment for the meeting. The work is invoiced only after you have approved the draft minutes, and the reservation comes off that invoice.

What is the total, and when is it paid?

A standard board or committee meeting at short notice is £500. The £350 reservation secures the date, and the £150 balance is invoiced after you have approved the draft minutes. Take a retainer within fourteen days and the balance is not charged. A contested hearing takes longer and is priced on the call, before any work goes past what you have reserved.

What happens to the seven clear days for papers?

A standard meeting has the pack issued 7 clear days ahead, which needs your papers 10 working days out. At this notice that is not possible, so the timetable for issuing the pack is agreed on the call, and that agreed date is the one we are held to.

Can we raise a purchase order instead?

Yes. Tell us and we will invoice in the usual way. Reserving online exists because it is faster, not because it is the only route.

Is the payment secure?

Taken by Stripe. Card details are entered on Stripe’s own page and are never held by Boardmet. Card and bank payment are both accepted.

Interim cover when the role is vacant rather than one date. Specialist panels for complaints, exclusions and employment hearings. Governance recovery when the records have fallen behind. Service levels for the commitments in full.

Reserving the date

The reservation is not an extra. It is the first part of the same invoice.A meeting at short notice is £500. The £350 reservation holds your professional and starts the work today, and the £150 balance is invoiced only after you have approved the draft minutes, exactly as it would be without a reservation. Take a retainer within fourteen days and the balance is not charged.

Need governance support?

Tell us what needs covering.

What has changed, your next important date, and anything that needs attention now. We will confirm availability and the right support.

Nothing is charged for the work until you have approved the draft minutes of your first meeting. Standard meetings run from 48 hours’ notice, subject to papers and availability. Short notice is five working days’ notice or fewer and runs online. If your school needs a purchase order first, send the details here and we will invoice instead.

Meeting, hearing or start date. Next twelve months, if known.
