The role
Our busiest patch, and the one with the most trust boards. You would hold a portfolio of governing boards and trust boards, prepare them properly, sit in the room, and hand back a record the chair can rely on.
Who you are
- You have clerked a governing board, a trust board or a committee
- You know the difference between recording a discussion and recording a decision
- You are comfortable telling a chair that an item is not properly before the meeting
- You can get to a school in the South East for a 6pm start
What you would do
- Agree the agenda, issue papers 7 clear days out, and read into them
- Advise on quorum, delegation, declarations and confidentiality, live in the meeting
- Draft minutes to the chair within 5 working days
- Keep terms of reference, registers of interest and membership records current
